{"id":2012,"date":"2022-08-22T18:43:18","date_gmt":"2022-08-22T08:43:18","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.garfieldgolf.com.au\/cms\/golf\/course-etiquette-and-course-care\/"},"modified":"2025-09-13T07:05:59","modified_gmt":"2025-09-12T21:05:59","slug":"course-etiquette-and-course-care","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/www.garfieldgolf.com.au\/cms\/club\/course-etiquette-and-course-care\/","title":{"rendered":"Course Etiquette and Course Care"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<h2>Prior to Play<\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li>Arrive at least fifteen minutes early to check-in at the Clubhouse.<\/li>\n<li>If you cannot meet your tee-time booking please contact the Club to cancel.<\/li>\n<li>Be ready to play when it is your time to tee off<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>On the Tee<\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li>Always carry a sand bucket.<\/li>\n<li>Mark your ball so that you can identify it.<\/li>\n<li>Hit ONLY when golfers ahead of you are out of range.<\/li>\n<li>Stand still and facing other golfers while they are hitting.<\/li>\n<li>Watch where all balls go to avoid time spent looking for lost balls.<\/li>\n<li>Yell the warning \u201cFORE!\u201d if your ball is heading toward another golfer.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>The Fairway<\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li>Walk directly to your ball unless you reach someone else\u2019s ball first.<\/li>\n<li>Place your bag or cart near you when hitting.<\/li>\n<li>Repair all your divots by filling with sand.<\/li>\n<li>Walk briskly between shots and be ready to play when it is your turn.<\/li>\n<li>If you can\u2019t find your golf ball after three minutes of looking it is declared lost.<\/li>\n<li>Keep Pace with the group in front of you at all times.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>On the Green<\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li>Place your bag or cart between the green and the next tee.<\/li>\n<li>Take all clubs that you may need.<\/li>\n<li>Repair your own ball marks and others.<\/li>\n<li>Avoid stepping on another player\u2019s putting line.<\/li>\n<li>Mark your ball if it is in the path of another player\u2019s ball.<\/li>\n<li>Record all scores on the next tee.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Prior to Play Arrive at least fifteen minutes early to check-in at the Clubhouse.
